Thanks for a lovely report. I think that you are correct about making restaurant reservations by email, not the best plan. Restaurants in Grand Case do seem to abide by the "book" method, for the most part. I would have been furious about the no parking provided with your reservation. Seems like you are more of a 'go with the flow' kinda person than I would have been. Sounds like you did have a good time overall.

If you need help with posting pictures, let me know. It really is fairly easy to attach pictures to a thread at the bottom, using the Attachment Manager. Just make sure you are in FULL EDITOR mode.
