We arrived on Sunday March 1 on United out of Newark. Landed 30 minutes early. We parked close enough that we walked to the terminal. Delta had landed before us but they were all through immigration so it took a matter of minutes. At the luggage belt, Delta’s came off 1st . Took 25 minutes or o for ours to appear. Michael from DeBest, formerly Unity, was waiting. Took only a few minutes to do the paperwork at his place and we were off to Simpson Bay Resort. There was literally no one waiting to check in so we were checked in in a matter on minutes. We own weeks 10, 11 and 12 in the same unit but had rented week 9 through the resort. We expected that we would have to move at eh end of week 9 so imagine our surprise when they gave up our unit! Four weeks in the same unit with out moving! Excellent!! Best way to start a vacation!

Our 1st night tradition is salad and pizza. We got takeout form Isola. Excellent pizza and salad!

We go to the gym here everyday and then breakfast on the balcony, slices of a fresh baguette and French raspberry jam. Lunch on the balcony most every day a turkey lunchmeat sandwich on a piece of baguette and a glass of Sancerre. We spend our days reading by the pool. The B pool usually have a dozen or so around it until later in the afternoon. It’s almost like having your own private pool.

Last night we met a friend at Bar Code for dinner. I ordered the Tuna Tartare, which I thought was going o be an appetizer and then Mahi Mahi for my entrée. The tuna, which was wonderful turned out to be an entree served with great fries and a salad. Boxed my Mahi Mahi for a dinner in the unite another night. Also ordered at the table were ribs that fell off the bone and linguini bolognaise. Service was unusually slow and the waiter mush have been very new as he was really unfamiliar with the menu. Still had a nice time.

Weather was great until today. Sunny 84 and a nice breeze. This morning was cloudy with a lot of rain. It finally began to clear late morning. So far no problems with either traffic , security or concerns about the virus

Tomorrow begins week 2.
