Introduction of the compulsory mask in the most frequented areas of Saint-Martin
The health situation on the island of Saint-Martin remains worrying with as of September 14, 117 active cases and 21 people hospitalized, including 18 at the Louis Constant Fleming Hospital. The levels of incidence rates (number of positive people per 100,000 inhabitants per week) and positivity (number of positive people compared to the number of tests performed) remain above the alert thresholds.

Violators are subject to a fine of 135 euros.
During the confinement, the Prefecture, Initiative Saint-Martin Active and the Collectivity carried out the project of manufacturing solidarity masks by 52 seamstresses. 24,500 masks have already been distributed to the general public and to all schools, administrations, businesses, businesses and associations. Stocks remain available.
To ensure everyone's protection, reusable masks can be picked up by those wishing to do so at the Prefecture reception from September 18 during opening hours to the public.
