It is all about keeping the residents/island safe so it is nice of you to care!
If they cared they wouldn’t charge these exorbitant fees, the government is abusing the tourist like the taxis and everyone in the tourism business. There is a cost associated with the 2 tests and the app/bracelet. I don't see $175 as being exorbitant. I'd guess it's about at their cost. When i look at testing centers in central Ohio, I am seeing a cost of $135+ for voluntary tests not covered by insurance.
