According to AA, participating in the gift promotion moves your expiration date 18 months. Below is an excerpt from the email I received from them today.


First let me say that all expiration dates have been hated until June
30, 2021. However since you participated in the Greatest Gift promotion
your expiration date is now June 3, 2022.
