If you only have a few weeks to "let this play out", you may be left holding the bag with test results that are not received in time and lost lodging and an air voucher that may or may not be usable to the traveler. The SXM government has flip-flopped, backtracked and continued to change the rules as the game is in progress. What happens if one does make it to the island and the rules change again? Sorry, I am not at all that trusting of them or the US government.
