As a personal point of interest, every so often I hear people asking about the normal tides, both high and low, on the island. Not sure where or how I heard this but I am under the impression there is no significant daily tide change there. Is this true?
I’ve never noticed any changes but we usually tend to spend not more than 5 or 6 hours on the beach on any given day so it’s possible we may have missed them? Now we stay basically on the beach and I've yet to notice the dailyhigh and low tidal changes we might see at the RI beaches we typically visit.
