Two of the three pelicans at the airport roundabout are already repaired. This morning, two metalworkers are repairing pelican #3. The work is happening on site.

The workers at the ugly skyscrapers at Mullet Bay Beach (now called "Fourteen at Mullet Bay") have finished pouring concrete on Tower #1. It has reached 21 stories. It's dreadful. It looks like work is proceeding on the foundation hole for Tower #2.

On Sunday, the beach at Club Orient had lots of sargassum. Cedric was cheerful and upbeat as usual. Visitors were few, and when the Happy Hour bell was rung at 1:30, there was no line at the Perch. People approached the bar one at a time. The Perch still makes one of the best mahi mahi burgers on the island.

The Cupecoy beach near Shore Pointe has had no sand at all for the last few days.

Ocean temperatures are cooler than normal. The ocean has been calm, however, the last couple of days.

Porto Cupecoy has two empty commercial spaces where restaurants used to be (on the right side of the fountain, beyond Altro). Rendezvous, Altro, and Mama Pizza are still in business, as well as a new smaller takeout restaurant that appears to have few customers.

On Pelican Beach, the hurricane-ravaged resort to the left of Simpson Bay Resort (Flamingo) is now spruced up and appears to have guests. Reconstruction work is ongoing, but the exterior painting is done.

The beach in front of Divi Resort has very few people on it on Saturday. It would appear that the resort is 2/3 empty, but that's just a guess.

There was live music (Connis Vanterpool & Betti V) at Karakter's on Friday night.
