Homeward Bound!

Woke up yesterday morning to no water at our apartment on Orient. UGH.

Left Orient around 10:30 for the trip around Grand Case thru Marigot and to the airport. Just about where the fire station just outside Grand Case traffic started to back up. And we moved at a snail's pace for nearly an hour. We expected to find a bad wreck or construction but it was just a crew weed eating at nearly the entrance to Marigot! Not great traffic control.

But thankfully time was on our side. We got thru Marigot and filled up the little Versa at the Texaco.

Then went to Sunset Beach Bar for a few more Presidente beers and a burger.

Dropped the car in the parking lot. The terminal was not busy and we were checked in and through security in 10 minutes.

Delta back to Atlanta. Customs was a maze as we went underground to a different terminal to go through customs. Global Express is so worth the extra money but having said that because of covid travels customs was not busy. Not the madhouse of most years.
The TSA lines after customs were not long but they are trying to run through people so quick that it makes it very stressful. There has to be a better way. Having said that be prepared get rid of the water bottles, get your laptop out etc....

Like on the start of out trip we waited out our 3 hour layover in the new Sky Mile F terminal location. Its upstairs and has an outdoor seating area that you can shed the mask.

Last leg went fine but the flight attendants were checking ID at the door of the plane. Haven't seen that since 2 weeks after 9/11.

Back home around 11:30pm. Alarm went off at 7:30am. Ugh. Oh well you have to pay to play.

As always thanks to so many of you that post. Your info on the Hope Estates Red Cross testing area (which closed down yesterday), using Kenny's Car Rental, filling out covid forms prior to leaving etc are so helpful.

Till next time SXM.
