Medicare does not cover shingles vaccine however, part D prescriptions DOES. So whatever prescription plan is that you have, that's the card you should be presenting when getting the shot example: I have Express Scripts. I must present that # just as I did for a tetanus shot.

Also as of 2018 United Health Care does cover shingles vaccine to age 50 plus at no charge.
