Arrived Sat 11am met by smiling Leslie with our car. Drove across the new causeway on to Grand Case with plans to eat lunch at Rainbow but couldn't find a place to park so changed to Sunset Cafe at GCBC since they have parking. Good meal (not great) split order of accras then sauted grouper for me hubby had some chicken dish, 2 glasses wine bill 70 us$

Thought the island was quiet. Not too many people at airport or on the road. Trip through Marigot was a breeze but GC was busy. Did our annual drive around the island to look for changes. Nothing major. Dead tired (up at 3am) so it was an early evening.

Woke early to find the resort without power. Lasted a short time so after coffee and raisin bun headed to the beach. In the afternoon headed back to try lunch at Rainbow. WOW! glad we did. Excellent! We both had pork tenderloin with sauce mourtared. Hubby had rice; I had fries. Both dishes came with a side of mixed veggies. with 2 glasses of rose bill was 72 US$ and worth every penny. View is beautiful, staff friendly & on the ball. Douglas the owner (he used to work at a place on Orient...forgot the name) was gracious and talkative. All in all a great afternoon.

Not sure where tomorrow's eating will be, or which beach will gain our presence. Gosh how we've missed this place!
