Here is my experience yesterday. We do not check bags. The outside kiosks were covered up and no one using them. I did not see a separate line to check bags. We were Verifly approved. In order to get approved we had to add a contact person to our AA Advantage account. I can't explain this. We had our daughter on both our accounts but had to add another name and number. Verifly sent us to AA on the Verifly app to do this. When we got to the AA account our daughter was there but there was an open line above her that we had to add another person. We could not get approval without doing this. You can get your covid test approved but can't get the checklist complete without doing this. This may be our fault and may not be your experience. We may have entered something incorrectly a long time ago in our AA Advantage accounts. But after doing so we were completely Verifly approved and the Verifly checklist was complete. We then checked in online and received electronic boarding passes. At PJIA we walked in and bypassed the AA counter and went straight to security. At the first stop our electronic boarding passes were scanned. At the second stop we presented our passports and electronic boarding passes. The passports were scanned but not the boarding passes. He looked at them but did not scan them. The next stop was security where they scan your bags and etc. They did not ask for any documentation here. At the gate when boarding they checked our passports and scanned our electronic boarding passes. The bottom line is that we were able to bypass the AA counter and got through the process at PJIA paperless. If you check bags this info may be useless but for us it worked perfectly. By the way masks are still required at PJIA.
