Oh so you are partially to blame for the poor representatives that we have sent to Miss Universe in the past...LOL

On a serious note, Sam Lords was destroyed a while before the fire. It was purchased years ago and the then owners allowed it to run into a state of disrepair.

Prior to the fire, vandals used to frequent (some illegally living) there, they destroyed many of the roof designs and infrastructure, the fire just took care of the rest.

Since my last reply, I have done a little research and found out that it is the Barbados Government who is in the process of purchasing it from the past owners.

It is my understanding that after the purchase is completed, the property will be leased to an unnamed large international chain of resorts. Hopefully this deal will be completed soon, as our island could greatly use the injection of the foreign exchange and international promotions that this partnership would bring.

With all of that being said, there are so many positive reasons that you should come back to our beautiful island...maybe it's time that you schedule a visit to renew your vows ... As you stayed and loved "Old Sam Lords" and as I am in an ASSumimg mood, I believe that...

1. You seem to like to be away from the usual hustle & bustle of the heavily populated tourist areas.

2. You more than likely are a person that likes their independence and will have a rental car while on vacation.

Based on these ASSumptions, I would like to suggest you have a look at the Crane Resort http://www.thecrane.com This is a magnificent property that I have staycationed at a few times and I am sure that this resort will completely satisfy you and will be the perfect place to fall in love all over again at something that we all need from time to time .
