We stayed for a night on Guana at the extraordinary resort. If you want peace and solitude mixed with spectacular views and mouth watering food, it simply doesn't get better than Guana.
Above the beach, the island is quite private. It is populated by 30+ hiking trails and seven beaches, a flatland, two donkeys and a brackish pond with flamingos. They are home to all sorts of birds including frigates and booties. The accommodations are reminiscent of the architecture of Santorini with an old world British colony feel. The staff are very professional, accommodating and friendly. Put it on your bucket list, near the top. The one sour note was that our deck cooler was stolen while Trinity sat on a mooring at White Bay. It was a first for us and very disconcerting. Fortunately the remainder of the boat was locked down.
