EASY. If you have your own rental car, Rovinj is only about a 4 mile drive. But Valalta also has a shuttle that leaves and picks up, several times a day during high season (June-August). Otherwise, taxi service between the two places would also be an easy option- I don't know this, but my guess would be about $15 each way. Rovinj is beautiful- almost Venetian, with houses right up against the water, and narrow, cobblestone streets.
