Friday November 4 – It rained last night and is cloudy this morning. It's our last full day on the French side and were hoping for a beach day, but the clouds looked rather ominous., Plan B consisted of hanging out in the pool, with two cute dogs to keep us company. it lightly rained on and off, but overall, it was a great time.

We drove over to Cul de Sac for lunch at Le Taitu, which is another of Marc’s favorite restaurants. We ordered off of the 17 Euro lunch special menu, that includes a drink, an entrée and coffee. Marc ordered Beef Burgundy and I ordered a Fresh Pork with rosemary gravy dish. Both meals were served with a glass of rose, salad and potatoes. The meat for both meals were very tender and flavorful.

Next stop was Orient Beach for drinks. We’ve been here five days and haven’t even driven to Orient, which is so unusual for us. There weren’t many people at the beach. We stopped at Orange Fever to see JC, who welcomed us with his great big smile. You can’t beat that! There were so few people on the beach that the restaurants were packing up the beach loungers at 2:00. It's too bad, because the weather was pretty good, with hardly any wind.

A quick stop was made at Super U for a few more essentials. I love food shopping on the French Side of the island, and this supermarket has a nice selection of cheese, meat, bakery items and wine. Even the condiments look yummy to me – LOL.

We so enjoyed our meal at Le Bistronome earlier in the week and decided to dine there again. Reservations were made earlier in the day. There were two English speaking couples on either side of us and we enjoyed nice conversations with them. For an appetizer I ordered Escargots in a creamy parmesan sauce that was incredibly delicious, Marc, who is not a seafood lover, tried a couple of them and declared it very good. Dinners consisted of Slow Cooked Beef for Marc, and I had the Duck Leg special, served with a salad and sweet potato (the best I've ever had). OMG everything was excellent! We walked back to the apartment, passing by Passage des Escargots.
