We stayed at La Playa a few years back. Nice place, but we actually had issues with the pushy and over friendly beach staff. Made my wife very uncomfortable and pissed me off. We have been staying right next door at Orient Beach Hotel, also directly on the beach and we love it. Completely rebuilt and remodeled after IRMA. It was Blue Bay Beach before that.
