Every few months I pull every piece of plastic (credit cards, license/registration, medical IDs etc.) out of my wallet, drop them on the scanner face down, hit scan, then face up, and scan. I combine the two scans into one image and email it to my gmail account. It's always there waiting for me, along with jpgs of our passports.
