Personally I don't mind that much if they add a 15% Service charge cause I know on the island they get a lot of tourist from around the world that just don't tip. But as in the USA the staff depends on the tip since the hourly rate is so little. But for sure a busy restaurant or bar server can make very good tip money. I think most of the restaurant owners don't want to add the service charge but the staff mostly the local staff would scream if they did not. Gov would never get involved ...those are voters. But don't always believe it if your server says they don't get the SC money. Service Charge is the tip in my book and the staff tries to say otherwise. Discounting for reviews is another can of worms that has become more obvious by same good reviewer or mention over and over every other day same place. just odd. they should knock it off. IMO
