A very pleasurable day, sunny and hot with a breeze by Beachside Villas. Waves were not high nor rough. A good day to cool off in the water as the UV rays were strong.

Spent time by the pool reading before taking several dips that was refreshing. Pool was cooler than the ocean.

Since today is Saturday, the airport was busy. David went to the observation deck to watch flights land and depart.

We went to D’s Bar next door for a snack and cocktail. Special appetizer of the day was a salmon croquette with spicy remoulade $10. Two medium size croquettes with sauce on the side, looked nicely fried. I opened one up and tasted it, and it was cold on the inside. Returned it to the kitchen and ordered the bang bang shrimp five to an order. I can’t recall the price but it’s on the regular menu so price probably available online. A new order of salmon croquettes arrived warm inside and out. They were quite good. This was a good visit.

I made dinner reservations easily through Facebook message early this afternoon at Skip Jack’s for this evening. I requested a front table overlooking the marina. My request was honored. There was a parking valet for the restaurant which was very convenient.

If you’ve been following my reports over these many years you know I’m a lobster lover. Since the prices have been high I wasn’t sure I’d eat one this trip. I decided to splurge and ordered a 3.5 grilled lobster. I was a very good lobster no complaints. I really enjoyed it. David got the grilled grouper which he said was good. It was a small fillet which you’ll see from the photo so I shared some of my lobster with him.

Oysters on the half shell from Chesapeake Bay were one of the specials tonight. We ordered half a dozen which were plump and sweet.

Since this was our final night, we indulged in dessert. We shared the chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice.

A good dinner to end our week long trip. [a short 8 day trip for us.] Thanks for coming along.
