We flew AA to SXM via San Juan. On time flights, luggage arrived fine both directions. Rented from Unity, met at the airport and we were on our way. Stayed at the Palm Court Hotel in Orient Bay. Very nice, neat efficient rooms. Small, 24 rooms. We wills stay there again presuming everything remains as it is today. We and (2) other couples did Tiko-Tiko. As others have report a must do event great fun! As has been reported before Baywatch (our first visit there) was perfect. Cheryl & Andy have an outstanding location, service, food & personalities to go along with it. Too many interesting restaurants in Grand Case. The extremes...LaCalifornia & Talk of the Town just to name two.
Several nice restaurants within walking distance of our hotel including Bikini Beach which was very good. Outstanding servers & bartenders.
The Marigot market and the "rum guy" along with several fine jewlers and crafters make it a pleasant visit. Philipsburg has undergone quite a transformation since our last visit 2 years ago with more to come.
The airport project is supposed to be done by June '06. Not many of the people that work in the current airport seemed willing to pack their belongings in anticipation of moving then.
Wonderful place! Still not adjusted to reality (or whatever this is) Van & Ingrid
