FrenchL, Sorry, but I didn't address your earlier question re: WHAT flies to use... What I've been reading and the general consensus is ><always ask locals first><. Make a call to the Marina and see what the recent success stories have been. That will be my plan in March.

Brightly colored/flashy flies are what I'm hearing most that the Dolphin are hitting on currently. Terrestrials and streamers.
Perhaps a LARGE streamer assortment... I would lean towards the larger Chartreuse, Red/Yellow, or Blue/White

From a rod perspective, 8wt-12wt depending on species of fish you are after.
Bonefish 8-10wt
Game fish (Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, Cuda) while trolling 10wt
Tarpon 10-12wt

..and once you bring your catch aboard, IF you decide its a keeper (eater) and not a candidate for carrying Ciguatera...Then a quick dousing of CHEAP Rum into the gills while under a wet towel will quickly dispatch the fish.
