Just to clarify the seaweed thing, there was no sign of it the first week we were here though it was prevalent in other areas, and my understanding is 'they' try to rake the beach and get rid if it, though I'm not sure who 'they' is or how good a job 'they' do. The strong rollers and breakers are far more of an issue to me since I find it hard to spend a day at the beach where I'm not comfortably able to enjoy the water.
