The cruise ships don't stay overnight they leave the dock at around 4PM. They do take day trips to various spots like the Baths. One of the guys I work with did it a couple of weeks ago. He arrived on a cruise ship and took a tour to the Baths stayed a couple of hours and left again. So the arrive early morning or late afternoon is good advice to miss the tourist crowds.
