First off, it's my first day back and it's very hard to do my job. I'm still suffering from Rum Flu. So please no grammatical corrections, I'm very woooosy.

What a great trip. This was the second time to Tortola, the first for my wife. We went to Aruba for our honeymoon two years ago, kind of wish we came to Tortola instead. Come to think of it maybe not, she wouldn't have been able to compare.

A bunch of this will run on so please forgive me.....I'm gonna give it to you as I remember it.....

Got there at 11 p.m. last Sunday night, went standby and made the last flight. Long day. We stayed at Myett's
on the beach at Cane Garden Bay. Very important..................this is by far the nicest place in Cane Garden Bay.......brand new rooms, air conditioned, king size beds, clean clean rooms, balcony to sit out at night. The food was wonderful, not a bad meal all week. Lobster, great chicken and ribs, plus they have a 28 ounce t-bone, can't eat it all. They also had a pasta that was as good as I've had. KIP, the chef is very very good. The cook almost everything on a large grill right in the dinning room, you can view the food prior to eating.

The staff was very very friendly, Judy, I'm still laughing, she is a gem. Valerie and Kareem and Sandman run the place, owners as well. Absolutely the coolest people I've met, did everything to make our stay five star. Sandman also runs a taxi and got us to any place we needed to go, really really came thru for us when we left, we had to catch a 7:15 a.m. flight, had to leave Cane Garden at 5:45 a.m.......he was on about 3 hours sleep from the Cane Gard. Bay music festival. So if you stop in and or stay there, buy him a cognac.....and a cigar. He and I had one at the Sky World Rest.....head still hurts. Valerie did everything for us as humanly possible, very very cool person. I think it was our second night there, we were on our 2nd or eight drink, some type of Rum concoction and the band started to play......Scubby dubby doo where are you, wim a wack a wim a wack.....some variation of the two songs in a reggae rif, laughed my [censored] off, great music all week. I walked all around Cane Garden Bay and can tell you that Myetts new rooms are the way to go...period. You can't beat the price bar none and it's the best value.......Also, they have a computer that you can check email and get on the net if needed......big help for me, let me stay on vacation longer. They also have a jeep that you can rent for a day or two to see the Island, visit Brewers Bay, really really cool beach......

You also need to see Baby Bull Water Taxi and get him to take you to Jost VAn Dyke and go see Seddy at One Love beach bar.......coolest place to drink Red Stripes and listen to Reggae.......have Seddy do his magic tricks, seriously folks, you will not believe your eyes....he's incredible......never ever seen anything like the string trick.....if you want to visit a bar on a white beach, no doors and 6 chairs with cold beer, rum punch and magic tricks go there..........you will thank me later.....Soggy dollar is right down the beach.....Baby bull is a really cool guy who will go out of his way to get you when and where you want to go.....he can also take you to the Caves to snorkel, really cool place as well.

Ate at Sky world one night, really good food as well. Bruce the chef is very good and he's really a good guy. Allen the owner is a wanker, just kidding, he's a Scotsman, I'm Irish......you figure it out. Best view on the Island, go there at sunset, breath taking.

Music festival.....very enjoyable......had to be a mess setting up......too many power failures for it to be easy to pull off. Everyone had a great time, great music, great food.....

We went to Bitter end one night to visit friends. We stayed a Sabba Rock, right across from Bitter end, $120.00 per night versus 275 at bitter end......what a deal......plus the room we had was down wind and was incredible to have the wind blowing in at hurricane force, slept well that night. Small world, the manager was from my home town......in OHIO, small world.

Our last night was spent at Brandywine.....wow.....best Duck I've ever had and the service was incredible. If you want to spend a romantic night with someone, go there, by far the best on the Island. For that matter can't think of a nicer place anywhere to have a dinner to remember for a lifetime. Hat's off to Brandywine.

The only negative about the trip was some of the service at places other than Myett's in Cane Garden By. I know they say your on island time........that goes so far.....rudeness is not a time...had that happen on numerous occasions, not acceptable on any island or planet......I'm on your island I know, but I'm helping feed your family.....not a hard concept to understand....I can say that this happened in a few select places.....

To end my rant.......it was a very wonderful experience.....thanks again to the people at Myetts(val, kareem, Judy, kip and the sandman), Brandywine, baby bull, Seggy at one love, sabba rock, bitter end, sky world............see u all in may of next year.....

oh yeah....for a late night safe place to have a drink, try the bat cave..Bruce from sky world part time bar tends there........in village key marina I think it was.

We did so much more that I can't respond to right now......any questions just ask.......
