Trip Report St. John May 17-28
New route for travel this year took us through Charlotte to St. Thomas. Everything was fine except we sat on the ground for an hour while they fixed something.
Taxied to Red Hook ($15pp) caught the ferry to Cruz Bay and went to our villa.
We stayed at Miles Away villa and it was better than we even expected. Two couples shared the villa overlooking Fish Bay. Perfect set up for two couples with no kids.
We went out to dinner almost every night $$$ Here are some of our favorites-
Zozo’s was awesome
Rhumb Lines was awesome
Happy Fish (Sushi) very good
Margarita Phil’s great Mexican
Fish trap not very good and over priced
Morgan Mango’s OK
Woody’s ( Great lunch spot) happy hour hot spot (3-5)
The beaches were all beautiful - We had Trunk all to ourselves one morning-
We rented a 28’ Mako from Ocean Runner’s and headed to Jost Van Dyke one day. Not very crowded and calm. Great trip
This was out first time to St. John- We had been to Tortola and VG for last four years-
St. John reminds me of VG with better roads and restaurants.
We are making plans for next year right now.
