Flights- AA out of Boston No Problems Accomodations- 1st week Sapphire Beach Resort 2nd week Geo Villa at Guana Bay Beaches- Cupecoy we love the cave under the Cliffs, also Long Bay, Dawn Bay, Guana Bay. Packlight- Rented beach chairs and umbrella great customer service. Car Rental- Used Mickey at Tropicana. Gas was $5.00 per gallon. Crime- Was non-factor..Felt pretty safe everyone was friendly. Food- Ate all meals in our kitchens with our choice meats from the states. I love to cook.. One breakfast at Turtle Pier. Shopping- Rima,s nice selection for our kids shirts and stuff. Phones- Used Internet Cafes in Philipburg $3.00 per hour this is a good deal to stay in touch at home. Bad Experience at Dawn Beach on June 9th...A native male about 19 had his pitbull dog in the water on a chain . Played with the dog in the water for 10 minutes then another ten minutes then another 10 minutes and to our horror carried out the dog in a frantic action. For the next 25 minutes tourists tried to save the dog with mouth to mouth and failed. This was a senseless act of animal cruelty that one could ever witness. The lesson here is that the natives have to be educated on how to care for their animals....I have all the respect in the world on how hard the tourists tried to save the pit-bulls life it was heroric.
