After surfing the internet for information about selfdrive in East Africa (many times they advised against it !!) we decided to rent a car and see what happens. We had a great time with no problems at all and travelled all of Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda. The car we rented (Toyota Landcruiser) was more than oke and we only had to pay Euro 60,00 pd. I am wondering why so many people advising against travelling independant in Africa?
