Left Miami on AA on Friday... only an hour late, but the pilot had a good excuse when he was taken off the plane, because of a family emergency!! another pilot was brought in within an hour...so really no harm no foul.
Immigration went as smooth as ever... we were through immigration within five minutes, our bags were on the carousel, and we were off and running to get our rental from panaromic (ttol recommendation). so far so good, but when we arrived at the rental desk, the car we booked was unavailable...but was upgraded to a little better car for no increase!!!!!
spent the first nite at the maho, since our timeshare at the royal islander doesnt start till saturday.. went to toppers for dinner, (had to get the brisket...been craving since last year), and we both found it just as good as we remembered it from last year!!!
Saturday, checked into royal islander, and was really impressed on how great the place has been restored!!! one would never know there was so much damage, just a couple of months ago. only problem is, that the internet connection there sucks...and no longer can u receive it in your room, but a free connection in the lobby or pool..when it works...and that is a big problem. saturday nite went to bajatsu, and again...the food was fabulous!!!!!!! what can i say..we are a creature of habit.
Yesterday, it rained all day...but still enjoyed the day... dinner at pizza pasta, and yes again...the best damn lasagna you can get anywhere!!!!
and that brings us to today...another day of rain, but did show some friends around the island...was planning on going to orient, but when we arrived it was soooo windy we left, and ended up for lunch at marina royal. tonite is le moulan fou at the maho. will keep you abreast, and if anyone has a connection with god...get us some good weather. ohhhhhhh and i almost forgot...the road to orient is just about finished, and no longer an obstacle course....but probably now thw smoothest stretch of road on the island!!!!!!!
