A lot depends on your (1) budget and (2) the people you are sailing with. If the six of you are hard-core sailors, then you are probably used to being a bit cramped and the 40ft lagoon will work fine. But if you think the group might prefer a little more personal body space, then go for a bigger boat. If the budget is not a significant concern, then go for a Leopard 48 or similar.
