I've never stayed there but friends do every year or so and love it and rave about the place.
We went their ONCE for Sunday brunch probably 25+ years ago and to this day it's one of those things I'll never forget about our St. Martin vacations. We each had coffee with OJ and warm croissants served with preserves. And for the privilege of enjoying this charming repast in that lively setting, we dropped a fifty dollar bill. Remember, 25+ years ago coffee was still running about $1.50 a cup in most restaurants. So needless to say, we never tried it for dinner though our friends do and rave about it.
The beach is absolutely beautiful and it's a full service beach. They have lounges and umbrellas for their guests along with water toys and non-guests are not encouraged. Many of the day-trip boats will pull into the bay as its a very protected spot for an afternoon swim but you are not encouraged to go ashore there.
This is one of those proprperties equally convenient to both the Dutch and French sides of the island but fairly well off by itself in what seems to be a very secure location.
If you are willing to spend that kind of money it's a lovely property but at the same time, there are other equally nice properties with a somewhat lesser price tag attached. But honestly, I don't think any of those other places have as beautiful a beach. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />
