Yes we had assigned seats when our husbands booked through Orbitz. I'm the one who normally books it and go directly through the airline so not sure if that had anything to do with it, however, Orbitz booking went right to AA's website. We've always used US Airways in the past so not much experience with AA. Not many airline options getting out of Bangor, Maine
