I've never understood the attraction of this place..thought it was just me..with so many amazing places to see and visit why go through all this for a place that belongs in Miami??

Well for one thing, if you're going to Trellis for FMP you'd be a fool to try to bring your boat into that zoo of a "parking lot" & you'd have to get there 2 days in advance.

I used to like the pool on the north beach (before they painted all the trees & rocks and erected the plywood shacks), I like the swim-up bars and the hot tub when I'm cold from the pool, & the beautiful view from the outside restaurant above the pool. I like the occasional indoor meal where there are no bugs, no wind blowing my hair into my mouth, and no dinghy ride required. I used to like the showers (don't use them anymore), and I like being on a dock. But it's obvious that all of the new investment cash is going into the villas & not the hotel/marina areas and the place is rapidly going downhill.

I very much appreciate a clean restaurant, a qualified & engaged staff, and a meal that isn't fried or buried in salt. That said, there are better options for those things than Scrub these days. My friend (a BVI newbie) said Leverick felt more upscale to her than Scrub... I thought that was a nice compliment to Leverick. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Smile.gif" alt="" />

Guess I just prefer a mix of experiences on our trips. But we'll spend an extra day at Peter for our "high end" days until Scrub gets it together.

If I can't be a good example, I'll just have to be a horrible warning. [Linked Image]
