Well, as usual, our plans changed from what I had posted. We did not go to Lagoonies for dinner because hubby was sure Fri was the night of the Jump Up from Kim Sha over the causeway to Cole Bay and back. He didn't want to get stuck in traffic. I thought it was to be Saturday.

Went to Grand Case and dined at Le Cottage (without a rsvp) gentleman looked at book and said since we were early he'd squeeze us in. Sat right corner facing street. Started with a small sample of cold thick sweet potato soup. It had a wonderful taste, hint of cinnamon. We then ordered onion soup. I think they make the best traditional one. We both had the veal chop with mushroom washed down with Pinot Noir Bourgone . The dish came with the most delicious creamy rice we'd ever had. On the side was a combo of slices of zucchini, eggplant & caramelized onion. Too full for desert! Ended with a complimentary carmel rum. With bottled water, the bill total was exactly $100. Well worth it.

Side note, we were complimented on fact we'd "dressed up" for dinner. Gentleman said sadly more and more people show up in shorts & T's and he finds it disrespectful. I said, if they eat here at least they have SOME good taste. He agreed through chuckles.
