Well, Monday turned out to NOT be a beach day. Rain, not showers but downpours!
Decided to go to Super U and was "super" pleased with the selections and prices. They had the most beautiful racks of lamb for half what we pay at home. But I do not cook on vacation except for light breakfast or a sandwich at lunch.

Stopped at the bakery next door to Super U . Service was fast but cashier was slow. Passed on the macaroons but got almond tarts and a baguette. On way back to car---parking at Howell center is so much better than before---we passed a store with French lace lingerie in the window. Had to stop in.

Well, after a substantial purchase we didn't much care if it rained the rest of the day. It was spent in a comfortable bed. I won't go into detail except to say the champagne & pate bought at Super U was devoured.

We dragged ourselves from bed and into the shower then headed to Mark's for some ribs. Good as ever.

Tuesday woke to a strange yellow ball in the sky. Didn't recognize it at first. AH sun! Quickly donned the swimsuits and headed to the beach. Spent the day there soaking up sun incase it never appears again. Tuesday night we ate at Le Taitu in Cul de Sac. Owner said the barricades have really cut into his business. We both had the veal at 18 euro, 1 for 1. delicious!! Hate to eat twice in same place when there are so many great places on island to eat but we might consider returning to Le Taitu before we leave.

Now we dream of Wednesday and hope for sunshine. Friends from Maine plan to parasail from Le Galion so we might go to watch them.
