I used to stay at Emerald Beach 6-8 times a year, coming and going to STJ & Tortola. Now I stay at Island Beachcomber next door. The hotel is old and worn out but clean, nice little bar/restaurant, right on the beach and a lot less than anything nearby. It's a great place to relax after flying all day before heading over to the other islands. I always spend my last night there and get a late checkout so I can continue to relax until 2 hours before my flight....no guessing about ferries or taxis. Everyone I have told about this place says it's the best option for convenience.
