We just returned from Sxm, having spent four weeks at Sapphire. The place has been kept up pretty well. Some minor things in the room needed attention and got taken care of within one day of notifying the front desk. The beach at Cupecoy was the widest we have seen it in five years - the first week we were there. By the end of last week there was almost no sand at all. The entire beach at the west end of Cupecoy was nothing but rock. The area between there and Ocean Club had quite a bit of sand and there were a number of people there each day.<br><br>Orient, in front of CO was about half as wide this year than it was last year. During the time we were there the beach got narrower and then wider again and when we left it was about the same width as when we arrived.
