Ok. This is serious wink

Episode 9 Battle of the Bastards...

We will be staying at the Alamanda this Sunday. Does anyone happen to know if they have HBO? Or any nearby locations that have GOT parties on big screens.

I have HBONow loaded on my iPad, but am highly doubtful that we would be able to find the bandwith to stream it.

Sorry, but you cannot stream HBO in SXM via your iPad. It's not available for streaming via Internet in this "region". You'll have to fine someone that has HBO on TV. Good luck.

I have a VPN app that can simulate other locations. It should work, at least in theory.

If it doesn't, we're staying at BEachside Vilas later in the week. I know they have HBO.

Do they?? I really don't remember seeing HBO there, but we just normally scroll down and see something somewhat acceptable for a half hour or so before we go to bed.

I found it. It's on page 9 of the Printable Travel Guide PDF they have on the website.

Huh! Well you learn something every day! I had never seen that on there before. Yolanda used to mail out packets of info and I guess Drew has now put it on the website. Everything is not up to date on that PDF, as they now have maid service every day and the restaurant section is not up to date. Presumably the part about HBO is correct, I don't know.

Re HBO, I'll let you know.

Alamanda just responded to my query. They say they have HBO. THey attached their channel list. 130 standard; 20 HD.

This is our first trip back to SXM since July 2012. We had our own little scare at the Ocean Club before ... you know
Since then have done two trips to Aruba and of course our own lovely Outer Banks. It's upsetting to read Walt's story shortly before leaving.

BSV has you to thank for my choice to stay there. You always speak so highly about it.

OK, glad to hear you are headed back to SXM after a hiatus! I hope your trip is lovely! I really should stop talking about BSV, as it only makes it more difficult to get reservations when I want to go! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" /> Enjoy!

As an often vocal opponent of TV's at Club O, I did enjoy being able to watch GOT the past 2 Sundays. And the wifi is so much better without folks streaming. And as folks said, you can always turn them off which we did apart from a bit of CNN on the day of the Orlando massacre (and GOT)

We travel a lot and bought a Sling Box. These allow you to watch your home TV through Directv or cable. It even allows use of your DVR, including pause, stop and record. If you record Game of Thrones at home, you can watch whenever you like.
