Say what? As far as I know, that is the law in SXM, that stand alone casinos are regulated totally separate from hotel based casinos. Selfishly, since we stay at Beachside Villas, I don't care what casino it is, but I want a casino there that has table games!! So if Alegria is going to bring in table games, I'm for it!

Don't know where all this might end up but one can only laugh at the comment that Sidholm doesn't want the reputation of his resort damaged due to the Dunes Casino. I don't know how many there are currently, but technically as of now, the government is not supposed to issue any NEW casino licenses for stand alone casinos.

As far as I know, it is still owned by the owners that have owned it for a long time, I think the same owners that bought it from Brad, after Neil left.
