Personally, I would go with CLT but they sometimes have a long wait to get through. It is a much smaller airport and would be easier to make a connection and navigate.

I would probably do Charlotte also, although I think that with either one, if your outgoing flight is late at all, you could very well miss the connection. Before you actually book it, you might want to check to see if there are later flights to get you home, in case you miss the connection. If, for example, there is a later flight from Charlotte one that gets you home that night, and no later flight from Philly (or vice versa), I would probably book the connection that gives you an option to get home that night if you miss the connection.

So I have to admit, I've never flown through either airport but every time there's been a Philly flight I've considered, there's always been a note that indicates we'd have to 'change terminals' which, due to time considerations, has caused us not to book it, so you might want to chech that out, too. We've also been warned to take weather into consideration if considering Philly but we always go to SXM in April and snow has never been an issue for us.
Respectfully,

RonDon said: We've flown thru both and the only reason we'd choose CLT is once we had a bad snowstorm in April that made Philly a nightmare. Your prob right, my thoughts on Philly is worse case I can jump in a car and drive home to CT. CLT much longer!!! But CLT in March should be good - not sure about Westchester!!

With CLT in March there could be ice, fog or delays elsewhere.

OK, I'm not sure that would make you get on the plane and not your friends. I suspect the plane was almost full and you were just in line in front of them??

I still think you were AHEAD of them, and that's why you were able to get on. Did you see anyone actually get off the phone for you to board?
