2001 trip report

So many places gone now, but great memories, including Bulldog, at Laser 101! Long time visitors will find this report fun.

I think that Bulldog is now the morning diskjocky in Ocean City MD. Listening to Island 92 mostly now in SXM.

Ocean City in March would have been a bit nippy??? <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Laugh.gif" alt="" />

I am surprised more people haven't commented on this trip report, as it's a real walk down memory lane!

I had to add a picture from that time period to put everything in perspective

If I remember correctly Neil R was tending bar.

Not too much has changed <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

2001 was my first year on the island, stayed at RI la Plage, and can remember the work going on across on la terrasse. That first trip started 15 years of annual visits. Love the island, old and new. Change is inevitable and with all the change I have watched over the years, I am still totally enamored with the island.

Be Happy! Simply because you deserve to be. 😁

In Jim's 2001 report when he mentioned radio stations it brought back memory of our 1st trip 1979. Stayed at Great Bay Hotel and all the room had was a radio with one station. Biggest news we heard that stay was "Traffic mirror Front Street was broken by kids with rocks be vigilant."

Wow 1979, you guys are veterans. On our first trip circa 1990 we stayed at La Belle Creole. That was an beautiful place like a European village. Too bad it never reopened after Luis.
