Sad. Same happening to Caribbean Grilled Flavors and Harbour Queen. Caribbean Grilled Flavors was closed the past 2 weeks and sign indicated "Closed for Removal".

What a disappointment. Knew it was happening but didn't want to accept it. Lee's was always our first night go to place and quite a few return days during our four week stay. Hopefully they have secured a place to relocate to as they have always had a great following.

Hope so too. When I lost my lease for my business I thought it was the end of the world. All it did was open up a new better opportunity and I never looked back. This might not be the case for Lee's. I just hope they do indeed relocate or life throws them a better outcome.

Not sure if this was the case for Lee's or my situation but in a lot of circumstances that is true.

I forget the circumstances. Is it a land issue? If it has to do with the land use, does anyone have any idea what is going in that spot?

Land/lease issue and supposedly the 3 affected properties will be replaced with some sort of marina.

Too bad for Lee and for those who really enjoyed his place. We used to go there all the time for his grilled lobster (which I think was about the best of the island) but I guess I've gotten older and as much as I enjoyed the lobster and the fact you didn't have to get very dressed up for dinner there, the noise was way too much for me once the music started so we started going to Skip Jacks instead. Another very good lobster and a far nicer atmosphere, IMHO.

I think they have until 3/31. Lee's also posted that demolition of Caribbean Grilled Flavors (the old Halsey's place) structure was starting.
There may be another court ruling coming but it doesn't look promising.

Ouch!! Like the reports of St. Jeans Beach and the SXM sunset weren't bad enough. That really hurts.

We used to go there, but its been awhile. Husband love red snapper, and ordered the medium fish. It looked like a guppy and was over priced. this happened more than once, and so we stopped going... I assume it depends on what you order, but there prices are high in my opinion... But for those that like the restaurant? hope it can stay open...

marks is more a ''wet'' rib......where lee's was more smoked and dry. I LOVE Mark's place....but prefer the ribs at Lee's. IMHO

And don't forget Lee's cole slaw that's best on the island. Ribs, potato salad and cole slaw is my go to dinner at Lee's. All very generous proportions.

Every pub in RI was cranking yesterday as URI's basketball team upset Creighton on St Patrick's day.
