Thanks for the update. I want to catch a dinner there when we arrive, but hope they win and get to stay a good long time!

I was wondering what was going on, as someone here said there was supposed to be a court hearing last week..

Hearing or not, the deadline to vacate was 3/31 from what I recall.

The old Halsey's Caribbean Grilled Flavors was closed the entire time we were there. The neon sign was on but posted on the door was something to the effect "Closed For Removal". Harbour Queen was open and for some reason I believe they had a later date to vacate than Lee's did. From a December Article: SIMPSON BAY— Long-time businessman and pioneer of seafood restaurants on the island Lee Halley has appealed the court verdict against him ordering his business, Lee’s Roadside Grill, to vacate its current location before March 31, 2017.Full Article from Dec.

Lee's is open today. Caribbean flavors has a pile of wood a debris in front of it, as it's being demolished.

We would like to put a picture on the newspaper with family, friends, customers and all supporters. We would like to take the picture at Lee's Roadside Grill on Thursday, March 23 at 10am, please attend if you like to support us."

I am not surprised. It was always a place we ate at at least once. This past January the food was horrible, as was Carribean Flavours...here's hoping for something better.

I agree,,the only good thing on my plate was the coleslaw,,but the ribs were so dry and tasteless, I could not even eat them. Not at all like other years,,,was very very disappointed for sure. And hubby had fish and chips and they looked like pieces of McDonalds chicken nuggets only not as much meat....we were totally shocked at how bad it was!!
