Sounds like a great trip. We did the following recently, or first trip and had a wonderful Capt to help guide us.

Cooper
Leverick
Anegada
JVD - Diamond Cay & Foxy's
Tortola WE - Sopers
Norman - the Bight

Really enjoyed that trip, thinking next trip would be like this...

Virgin Gorda, 2 nights in North Sound
Anegada, 2 nights at Settlers Point
JVD, 2 nights Diamond Cay and White Bay
Norman or maybe Peter.

I'm thinking we'll have more time to visit and tour these 3 islands that way. Anyone else ever do an itinerary like this?

Bagsarepacked, will be on the lookout. You will be a day ahead of us! Sure don't know how you all do it, Arrival, on the boat for 7 nights, one day ashore and fly home... although flying from the "left coast" is longer, 8-9 days just isn't enough, even in de ilons. Looking forward to some serious R&R.

We'll be aboard S/V TwinDancer (Lagoon 400S2) beginning around May 7 and will spend a couple of days or so in BVIs before heading down island to Saba or St Martin and beyond. Would love to catch up with anyone making passage southbound around that timeframe. (We'll probably end up in Guadaloupe before returning back to Tortola in late June - or at least that's the very rough plan at this point.)

May 24th for 1 week on a Footloose 3900 - probably the usual counter-clockwise route (incl. Anegada). Myself and wife, plus a bunch of college kids (so we'll be flying a load of Greek life flags). Join us for a beer!

May 20-28 on Lagoon 52. We will be flying a NC State flag. Crew of wife's cousin from Boston and her husband (777 pilots make good helmsman! ), our family of 4 with the 2 college girls and their newbie college roommates. Dad might need a leash. It's been great that our girls have grown up doing this and can now share with friends.

Iternary depends on time leaving out and weather, but already have more stops we want to do than time to enjoy. Snorkel, sail, relax, snorkel, sail, find a beach bar for the night.

White Bay, Great Harbour
Little Jost, BLine, Sandy Spit
CGB, off Guana, or Marina Cay
Baths and Savannah Bay (newbies must do)
North Sound probably 2 nights
Anegada?
Norman, Indians, Caves, Willy T

We are getting a 37' monohull from BVI charters. Ruby is her name.

May 14 - Sleep aboard at dock, Road Town.

May 20 Return boat to dock, Road Town.

May 15 - 19th. I have chartered twice but have never sailed down the north side of Tortola so I plan to do that. Will mostly play it by ear though.

Just me and my girl. She has been super busy stressed with a huge work project. We were going to go on a hiking/skiing tour but I decided she needs to just relax, and where better than the BVI's.

I am thinking about popping the question. (I see there is another thread for that)

Crank - does Ruby have shoreside A/C? If not...the BVIYC docks are pretty hot....just FYI....

Lee Bay would be a nice spot for that proposal...saw someone suggested that on the other thread. Kim (Sandsailsun) has some great pics of that anchorage in some of her trip reports - if she sees this, maybe she'll throw a few up for you!

Lcrich, looks like you will be on Cool Change the week before us. Take good care of her! Fourth trip down for us, third for the other couple we start the trip with. Prelim itinerary:
5/20 live aboard
5/21 Cooper
5/22 Saba
5/23 Anegada
5/24 Anegada
5/25 JVD
5/26 Norman
5/27 Trellis
Drop off 1st crew and pick up son & girlfriend
5/28 JVD
5/29 Norman
5/30 Cooper
We then spend three more days in a rental unit on Tortola. Son's girlfriend gets motion sick so we figured three days of easy sailing would be a great intro/test.

I don't think she has AC. Have spent the night on the docks at Moorings and that was pretty hot. Just poor planning on my part: I reserved the boat before looking onto flights. Flying into Tortola was either too much of a PITA or too pricey so we opted for an easy non stop from NY to St Thomas. We will get there too late to leave but can take our time provisioning, etc.

1st time Chartering and 1st BVI Trip!
Chartering a Moorings 393 PC for our honeymoon!

5/21 Fly to STT
Still unsure where to stay 5/21, 5/22 & 5/23 (researching, I’ll can ask for some suggestions in a new thread)
5/24 Sleep aboard
5/25 Norman / Bight (Trying to decide if this should be the 1st or last night)
5/26 Cooper
5/27 Leverick Bay (Do I need to reserve a slip? Would like to rent a car / jeep to see the baths and tour the island. They might be packed due to the poker run that is the next day)
5/28 Anegada
5/29
5/30 JVD
5/31
6/1 Turn in boat and stay somewhere in St Thomas for a flight back to reality on 6/2

Itinerary is a little rough. Not sure where to go after Anegada other than making sure to hit JVD for a night or two.

We were born and raised in STL but have been in the DFW area for 35 years so I guess we are considered Texans now!
