I used the AT&T International Day Pass and the coverage was great. Cost is $10/day and I was able to hotspot one device for all the others. The text/data/phone usage applies to your normal monthly plan. Meaning, if you pay the $10 daily fee, all your usage just gets thrown into your regular monthly limits.

That's what we did as well a couple of weeks ago. The only part that is confusing and I don't know for certain is which carrier you're supposed to connect with. LIME, CCT-Boatphone, etc. Do you turn on data roaming (sounds scary)? I just don't know and the instructions on the att site are far and few between. I'm scared to open my bill next month in case we screwed it up.

AT&T is referring to "at sea" <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/toast.gif" alt="" />

I turned on data roaming after checking with AT&T. No surprises and it worked better.

I have picked up cell signals 20 miles from shore here. The passport plan is not limited to wifi. In some countries they have wifi hot spots. Otherwise it is cellular data. For a week long trip the daypass is a good deal. Verizon has a very similar program.
