My wife and I just booked the Pink House Villas on JVD for a week in January 2018 with two other couples. Looking for answers on a couple of things.
1. Can we charter a boat to take us from STT to JVD? Appx cost?
2. What is a suggested/realistic itinerary for a full day "powered" charter from JVD? We want to go to the "Bath's" for sure but it would be nice to be able to see some other things as well...is this possible? If so does anyone know a good charter company to contact. I have tried emailing a couple with no responses back.
thx

Good Afternoon,
You can contact Debs at Island Surf and Sail for a private powerboat day trip. She specialises in guided snorkels, and can pick you up in Jost. Her email is info@daytripsbvi.com and you can see what her day trips are all about at www.daytripsbvi.com. Have a great day!

Are you looking for a water tax to take you from STT to JVD? If so, we used Foxy's water taxi in December and it worked great. There were ten of us versus four,so I would suggest reaching out to them for pricing...but as a note, we checked with two other water taxis services as well and they were all within $10 per person of each other. They were very responsive. www.foxyscharter.com I believe they also do day charters as well.

Yes, you can get a private water taxi from STT to Jost. The last time we did it, cost was around $350 through St Thomas Boat Rental, but that's been a couple of years now. With that said, I believe Lydia is still the property manager for the Pink House Villas - she and her husband Frankie operate a water taxi which was probably mentioned in your rental package from Pink House. They're wonderful people, and it would make your check-in process pretty seamless.

We've done day charters with Jost Van Dyke Scuba several times and had a great time, though we've never gone as far as the Baths with them. Weather has usually been the issue with that, though.

Felix
