It's been a while since we have travelled to the BVIs and we are planning a trip to Tortola in July. Does anyone know what the official taxi rates are for getting around in Tortola? I have tried to find the latest official rate, however can't seem to find it. For expample: what would be the taxi cost for 2 couples from the Road Town Ferry terminal to Nanny Cay? Thanks.

My best guess is $10 pp. I would be surprised if it was much more.

Quote from AC Taxi (sponsor). Pick up crew of 4 with luggage, stop at Tico for beer and rum and Riteway for snacks and breakfast until provisions are delivered. Drop us at BVIYC for $75

One cab.. 4 people.... w/ a ton of baggage?
$40 might do it... $20-25 for one person
The good news... if memory serves - at Nanny Cay - on the wall where the taxi drivers hang out - used to be the "official-for sure outdated" fare chart
Would be fun for a laugh to see that again

Thank Glenn! I noticed they are effective as of November 26, 2010. Hopefully they haven't changed!
