Well so much for the little secluded beach called Happy Bay. Seems that the ruined condo restoration and the grass clearing was not that at all. It is prep for a 4 day festival to be held on the beach. They are just securing the condos from festival goers.

I will try and post a link to both the original article and a partial google translation

[edit by Carol Hill.. That did not work. Please try again, without the translation..]

Hmmm...trying again

Happy Bay
We are proud to be able to use it and present the beauty of this place. It is an incomparable showcase for the island. In addition we are cleaning, parking, cutting poison trees, picking up garbage, securing ruined buildings and even refurbishing the little beach bar. In short, we will leave a Happy Bay brand new for all!
We anticipate an audience of about 4,000 people, both local and international. We are moving towards this figure since we sold twice as many passes as last year at the same time. The problem is the limited number of hotel rooms on the French side. We hope to attract foreign capital to invest in the island.

Note: festival is in multiple areas not just Happy Bay. I assume the 4000 includes all areas.
