The chairs under the Palm trees on the left side of the picture is where we were sitting. We swam all day yesterday. Not much seaweed in the water either. Glad to hear it's gone now. The wind has been out of the east since we have been here and seems to be keeping it away.

We just spent 5 wonderful days at Mary's Boon, just left on Friday. A little each day but they raked it up most days so we were fine. I think Simpson Bay is one of the best and most dependable beaches. A lot of seaweed at the other end of the beach, it seems to gather at that end as the photo shows. I am sure in a little time it will get better.

Just remember the seaweed might be gone now but it can come back in a vengeance overnight.

We flew in yesterday and as the plane descended we could see a lot of streaks close to SXM.

We went to Dawn Beach because Grace and her Sister wanted Conch Salad. The seaweed there is beyond belief. 2 Payloaders moving it. There is a mountain of it between Busbys and The Westin.

I will see if I can post some pictures.

Dawn Beach seems to always have the worst of it. How's the current seaweed situation other places you've been?

We've been here since Sunday and not a trace around Happy Bay...until this morning. I'm seeing a lot of streaks rolling by this morning <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Mad.gif" alt="" />

We are two weeks out from 10 glorious days/nights at Club ) (our first stay there) and 4 nights at another location yet decided. I'm looking at the Club O webcam with some sadness and hoping it will pass soon. I'm also hoping Happy Bay stays clear as this is actually our favorite beach. Atleast there are many beaches to choose from and this trip we may be seeing parts of the island we haven't previously, just to stay away from this nasty weed. Our first trip to SXM, we also saw massive swaths of the stuff from the air and thought it was an oil spill. I wonder how long these patterns last.

For the first time since we got here last Friday, the wind has shifted to out of the south. It has been out of the east and keeping it away from Simpson Bay. South should do the same. What happens in other locations I am not sure.
