Just saw on the local News that the Carnival Dream had engine problems, so it canceled the last port of call (Cozumel)and started back toward New Orleans a day early. Now it seems it has lost all power, and is adrift in the Gulf. Not good news for me and wifey, we are supposed to get on the ship Sunday morning here in New Orleans.
A call to Carnival and the Customer Service rep said "All is well, the Ship will leave on it's scheduled time on Sunday Have a good time !!"
Wow, not sure if I want to chance it. Anyone else scheduled to Cruise the Carnival Dream this Sunday?

Wow, good luck! Sure sounds like your cruise will not go off on schedule, if at all. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

Carnival Dream arrived in New Orleans on Sunday, as scheduled. It is currently en-route to Roatan. You can find its current location, and destination, by searching on marinetraffic.com.

Obviously, they must have gotten the engines fixed! Glad to hear that, for the original poster.

Yes, all was well. Just got back yesterday- perfect sailing conditions with no mechanical problems.
